Volunteers Needed!: Coliseum Women’s Shelter (Denver)

Volunteers Needed for Coliseum Women’s Shelter

Spark the Change Colorado is currently working with the City of Denver to help support shelter services throughout the city. With the COVID-19 pandemic, those experiencing homelessness are in greater need. The City of Denver has opened some emergency shelters to provide physical distancing, meals, social and mental services and other resources.

We are currently looking for volunteers with a heart and interest in working with people experiencing homelessness to provide friendly and kind services to women during the COVID-19 situation. You may be exposed to the Coronavirus which can cause illness or death. Friendly Volunteers support the staff at the Denver Coliseum Women’s Shelter. Staff, volunteers and guests at the Coliseum are being screened for COVID-19 and are sent to alternate locations if showing signs or tested positive.

This opportunity is available every day of the week from 7:30a – 1pm and Tuesday and Thursday 3:30p – 7:30p. Assisting Staff with activities in the dormitory setting may include assisting with laundry services, socializing with guests, supporting movie time, serving meals and other duties as requested by Staff.
