Dena Rodriguez is a new employee with Spark the Change Colorado and holds the Manager of the Mental Wellness Supervisor Program/Clinical Specialist position. Rodriguez holds a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Macro Practice and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration with an emphasis on Nonprofit Management Leadership.
In addition, Rodriguez is an LCSW Candidate working on her clinical hours to become an LCSW. Past experience includes leading two nonprofit organizations as the executive director, working with victims of child abuse and sexual assault. Furthermore, Rodriguez is also an adjunct professor at Colorado State University of Pueblo in the Social Work Department.
Rodriguez had volunteered with the Mental Wellness Program since 2013, even before Spark the Change acquired it from Mental Health America of Colorado.
Rodriguez loves spending time in her craft room and making customized gifts. In the summertime, she spends time growing lots of vegetables in her garden! Rodriguez shares that she is beyond grateful to work for such an amazing nonprofit organization that promotes mental health volunteerism and services.
