We would like to welcome a new addition to the Spark team, Alexis Tiryakioglu! Will is joining Spark as a Social Media Marketing Intern, donating her time and talents to help us grow our marketing and outreach.
Alexis is a Denver-based rising senior at the University of Georgia majoring in Marketing with an emphasis in Digital Marketing, and is also pursuing a certificate in Legal Studies for Business.
In high school, she volunteered at several Denver area nonprofits, including Brent’s Place, Project Cure, and Denver Rescue Mission. She has been a member of UGA Miracle for the last 3 years. UGA Miracle raises money and awareness for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and hosts events throughout the year with Miracle families. She was recently chosen to serve as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Assistant Chair for the Morale Committee.
In her free time, Alexis loves listening to Taylor Swift, traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and playing with her three dogs. She spent the first four months of the year studying abroad with Semester at Sea and visited 12 countries! When asked what she’s most excited about with this new position, she shared, “I am excited to learn new skills, and get to channel my creative energy into helping Spark spread its mission through social media!”
