Families First of Colorado has been serving the children and families in our community for more than 25 years. Their mission is to provide services which strengthen families, empower parents, nurture children, and end the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
Families and businesses throughout metro Denver are raising money for Families First as part of the “Drive for Community $Change$.” This unique fundraising program encourages people to adopt a piggy bank, keep it in a prominent place at home or work and fill it with change throughout the year. Each summer, those who have adopted the pigs are encouraged to turn in their banks to the annual Country Fair, hosted by Families First. Thousands of dollars in change is collected each year and we have decided to partake in this initiative!
Metro Volunteers recently adopted Eloise with a goal of filling her up with a minimum of $100 in change by mid-June. If you are visiting Metro Volunteers or any member of the Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits at 789 Sherman St., make sure to swing by and give Eloise a shiny treat!
