Make a Difference Together
As we make our way into the Season of Giving, you may be looking for ways to make a difference while engaging the whole family. On Nov. 19, 2022, we’ll celebrate Family Volunteer Day, a global day of service that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their communities and neighborhoods.
Take time out with your family this season to help others, and make a positive mark on the world. With Points of Light and Spark the Change Colorado, there are so many ways to give back!
- Volunteer with a local nonprofit! Volunteering is a fun and hands on way to engage with your community and make a difference. Spark has a Harvest Pack event in Walsenburg Nov. 19th, or you can find hundreds of opportunities from our member nonprofits through our website!
- Plan your own project! Find a Project Guide from Points of Light to spark ideas on projects for the whole family.
- Watch Points of Light DIY Videos! It can be a challenge to get younger kids involved. These DIY Videos have volunteer projects that you can do at home, and then deliver to support your favorite cause!
- Participate in Colorado Gives Day! Donating to a nonprofit of your choice is a great way to teach kids about how they can make a direct impact on causes they’re passionate about. Consider giving to Spark or allocating your donation to one of our programs.
Spending time volunteering helps families build bonds with their community and each other. Join families across the globe on November 19th by participating in Family Volunteer Day!
